News from Post 186

Get your week started right. Come on down to the Post on Sundays to enjoy your favorite libation with your friends.

Don’t forget we still have a couple reduced drink prices.

NFL Sunday we also feature our wide selection of chicken wings from 12-4 PM. Of course you are welcome to come down any other time too! If you are hungry, and you want a good, inexpensive lunch, the kitchen is open every day from 1130-1430.

This weekend starts off on Friday with the Fish Fry from 5-7 PM.

Saturday is “Steak Shoot” day. Come on down and try your luck at winning some great meats.

The bonus Dan offers cannot be beat anywhere in the county. See for yourself why the place is so busy on Saturday afternoons.

We now have hot dogs available  every day of the week for just $1.00.

For those of you who want to do something different on the weekends, the Legion Riders have amended their by-laws to coincide with Department of Florida. What that means to you is that you can now join the ALR, even if you do not have a motorcycle. The cost to join $15.00 a year, and you can follow the bikes as they travel through the countryside of Florida and wind up at some great bars and eateries, as well as stopping at other Posts to support them.

The Riders also support the Legion programs and do many things for the community and the Post. If you think you might be interested in joining, please see one of the ALR members.

So as not to interfere with, and out of respect for our members, guests, and entertainers, bowling will not be permitted during dinners, special events, or on entertainment nights. Also, there is a new policy for the saving of tables in the dining area. The policy has been posted on both of the bulletin boards, so please stop by and read it.

We have quite a few of our members recuperating in the hospital, rehab, and at home, including some of our officers. I ask that you please keep them all in your prayers.

Please feel free to contact me with any comments, suggestions, criticism, etc. This is your Post, and I want to make it an enjoyable place to be for as many of the members as possible.

I know I can’t make everyone happy, but I will do whatever it takes to please the majority. I will not make a decision without looking into the feasibility and over-all benefit to the Post. Please feel free to call or E-mail me.

You can also catch me here at the Post on weekdays in the early afternoon and evenings, and

usually on a Friday and Saturday night.

If you have any complaints or suggestions regarding the canteen or kitchen area, please refer them to our canteen manager, Ray Rosen. Any other complaints or suggestions concerning the Post can be directed to me.
